A pendant composed as a bird with its wings spread symmetrically to either side. The body and head are in polished gold, while the wings are worked with a three-row transition of stones: dark blue on the outer row, light blue in the middle and white round-cut stones on the inside create a gradation of colour. The fan-shaped tail opening downwards is set with white stones. The generous bail above suspends the piece in perfect balance from its centre.
